An excellent team performance by Davenham as they took their game to South Cheshire side, Nantwich Town. Nantwich finished 2nd in their 1st division and so this was a very credible win for the goldmen.
Davenham always looked the more dangerous of the two sides and led at halftime 1:0 although with plenty of possession, could and should've scored one or two more. An outstanding Kennerley scored his 47th, 48th and 49th of the season to give Davenham a deserved 3:0 victory.
Wallwork made a really special save from a well executed Nantwich freekick and special mention to the defence who completed their 3rd successive clean sheet (Wilmslow Town (4:0), Winsford Junior Blues (1:0), Nantwich Town (3:0) and with Drinky putting in an awesome right wingback performance, the options for the team are looking promising.
Thanks for Nantwich for co ordinating and hosting today's game - a return pre season friendly is definitely on the cards!!!
