It may have been April fools day but Davenham put in another fantastic performance against a tricky opposition top of the Timperley and district 4th division - Wilmslow. With the ground very hard and the bounce making the ball hard to control Davenham found it difficult at first to break the stale-mate. Hard work and good teamwork prevailed as Davenham applied more and more pressure and their work was rewarded in fine style as Taylor scored twice, Drinky once and Joe R once. Making a debut appearance, Man of the match Matty Dufty played very well at the front and all in all a fine performance from the Mid-Cheshire boys, with outstanding passing, movement and possession . They now break for a well-earned rest over Easter in preparation for their biggest game of the season the title decider against Winsford Junior Blues on 15th April. Well done to the lads for a very good performance and our thanks go to Wilmslow for making the journey over to us and playing the game in very good spirit.
Goals: Kennerly (2), Drinkwater (1) and Rogerson (1)
Assists: Rogerson (2), Dufty (1)
Man of the match: Matty Dufty
