After discussing this with Lee at length last night we have decided to leave DJFC with immediate effect this comes after some rather disturbing news that came to us at training on Tuesday evening. I won't go into details but we longer feel we can make the kids enjoy there football which is the most important thing.
I would like to personally thank everyone for there help and support over the last 20 months of us being involved with this age group.
The game on Sunday will obviously be our last game so it would be nice to have a full turn out so we can leave hopefully leave on a high.
I am sure that under the guidance of a new manager that has the support of the players and parents the age group will flourish and continue to provide football for the lads.

Mark/Lee, What a shock to hear you're leaving. As far as i am concerned, being at the club for what is a short time, the commitment & passion i have seen from you both is a credit to you taking time to promote the team & put players forward for trials. I dont know what has pushed you to this decision but i would like to know, I'm only guessing, but if its the plain talking & speaking from the heart that ain't a problem with me. We can wrap our kids in cotton wool too much these days, & your back to basic values are a breath of fresh air but not all can cope with that, hope you dont change under the pressures of others & do well in the future, or even better stay with us. Regards Pete G
I'll give everyone a explantion on Sunday as will Lee after the game. It's nothing major mate and the chairman and secretary understand our reasons.
I appreciate your comments on my values and I will stick by what I said most of the kids have to toughen up as its a dog eat dog world and you get nothing out of life if you put nothing in but we all know that as adults but I don't feel the kids do.
We are sorry to hear your leaving too, you have put alot of time and effort into the team i.e. longer training during the summer and trips out (all in your own time).
Sounds like you have both made your minds up to leave, so thanks for all your enthusiasm and hard work and all the best!
