Bit of a blow tonight another player has informed us of his intention to maybe looking to move on, with this now puts us down to bare bones we need your help in finding and recruiting some decent players please as we all know Will, Toby, Jack Lester and Shaylem have left the club and with others doing other sports we might struggle for numbers.
So I am asking please for everyone to keep there ear to the ground or ask relatives or close family friends to see what there sons are doing, explain to them what me and Lee are trying to achieve, as I am sure we can agree we do try and play football properly and it is attractive to watch most of the time.
In the mean time I will be trying to get into the Leftwich High School at the start of term to try and organise a coaching session to pick up some players (obviously not ideal) but I am desperate to see this age group flourish but again this means all of us pulling together as me and Lee can hardly approach kids on the street lol.
All we want is to go against the grain of your typical Dads and lads set up, we want to provide the lads with opportunity to learn at training and develop into better footballers, we plan to do this by actually coaching the lads and not just setting up a pitch and letting them run wild for 60mins, which is what happens at these supposed other bigger clubs.
Some players that have come and gone have complained of training being to hard (technical aspects of the game, postioning, first touch and passing), does your son say this? We are just looking for some awnsers as me and Lee are starting to doubt our abilitys.
So please help us carry this age group forward together and if your son isn't enjoying training please come to myself, Lee or Chris and discuss this.
Ferg is happy with the training and he hasn't told me of any lads who were unhappy. I will ask him to speak with his friends to see if any of them want to join.
