Can we have some clarification as to what the position is going to be for next season.
It looks like we have the two lads who are going to carry out the training but where do we stand for Saturdays, are we looking for someone else for a manager or assistant manager or are you going to go solo at the helm. Are the lads from the training going to be available for Saturdays? I'm sure that we don't want another debacle like we had last summer. I know that you have suggested in a previous post that everybody will help out and I'm sure the majority will however looking back to last year there was quite a bit of 'hot air' and very little action from some quarters when the workers were required for Saturday duties!
This might be a good time to state exactly where we are and what is going to be needed before we kick off?
Thanks Simon for your suggestion. I am attending a managers meeting tomorrow night and will update the committee on the situation that we are in. Once I've had some feedback from them, I'll let you know some more detail.
The situation at the moment is that Mark and Lee, who have just passed their Level 1 coaching courses, will take training sessions. I am currently trying to find a slot when they can do winter training - as they don't get back to Northwich until 6.30. Unfortunately, they will not be available for matches on Saturday mornings as they both work.
I will continue to look after the administration side of things.
As far as match days are concerned, there are a number of activities that need to happen, namely:
Putting up ropes pitch-side. Putting up nets. Filling in match forms. Bringing water. Warming-up and coaching the lads during the game.
I am looking for people to volunteer to take on these tasks - bearing in mind that the more volunteers we have, the more likely we are to be able to share the jobs on a rota basis. Please let me know what you think, and I will keep you updated with what happens at our meeting tomorrow night.
