On Sunday we eventually returned to fortress Moss Farm for the first time this season, on this occassion the District Cup 1st Round. Following the previous week's barnstorming game at rivals Winsford, the danger really this week was complacency against a very sporting Holmes Chapel. The team were warned about this beforehand and although our passing was not up to standard in the early exchanges, the goldmen grew as the game matured and by the second half were playing some excellent football. All available squad members played a part in this one which was a bonus and everyone was rotated (apart from Danno). The goal count built and we ran out comfortable winners.
Goals : Kennerley (4), Dufty (3), Drinkwater, Hill, Rogerson, Whitney.
