Davenham completed a league double over in form neighbours Hartford FC and ensured their 10th straight league win of the season.
Played in terrible conditions, credit to both teams who put on a great show for the Moss Farm faithful. Davenham were guilty of missing early chances before uncertainty in defence let in Hartford who took a 1:0 lead. With a change in formation Davenham hit back to lead 2:1 at halftime.
An excellent 25 minutes from Davenham saw the Goldmen notch up a 7:1 lead, however poor defending late on meant that Hartford pulled back a late three goals in the last 10 minutes. Davenham won the match 7:4 and remain top of the league, but plenty to do in training, which, this week will be led by football legend, Jon Whitney.
