I have been forwarded this by one of the heads of the FA, its a quick survey for you or the lads to take to see what motivates young people between the ages of 8 and 13. As I am sure you all know England had a appualing World Cup and this is part of the FA's iniative to try and get some of a insight into young peoples minds, so we can help them reach there potential.
I hope youre having a good summer. Were doing a survey of player motivation in youth football and need players from u8 to u13 to do a few simple tasks on a snappy website weve just created. Its a project that Nicks involved with and is the first wide-scale study to actually ask players what they like about the game. Were hoping it will have a positive impact on coaches and parents up and down the country. It only takes 5 minutes, so if you know players and parents you can forward it onto wed be very grateful.
If you have any questions give me a shout.
Many thanks
Matt
Heres the blurb for players:
Contribute to the future of English football
The future of coaching in England is at key point. The FA want to get it right so that young players really enjoy their football.
On our new website you can explore the things you like and dont like about football.
If you played in a team at Under 8, Under 9, Under 10, Under 11, Under 12 or Under 13 for the 2009/2010 season you can help us.
If you're a coach you can help by getting players in those age groups to take part in the study and directing them to the website.
And if you put your email address at the end, well tell you more about what motivates you.
