Firstly, apologies to those of you who turned up for training this evening to find neither Alan or myself there. We messed-up on the communication front. Thanks for Muks for staying with the stragglers - I owe you a pint Muks!
Next week, we have our first friendly match against Weaverham. This will be played in the field opposite Projen on Winnington Road, next to the Garden Centre. Could I please ask you to arrive by 6.15, so that I can have a quick chat to parents before the game starts. I have a new (previously used) training kit to give out. We will be using this kit for the remainder of the friendlies.
I then need to get back ALL of the current kit - that's shirts, shorts, socks and rainjackets as these will be used by one of the other teams as training kit. Could I therefore ask you to bring this washed and bagged to the game on 15th.
Before the start of the season, we will have an entirely new kit for games. We are able to choose a size for this kit. I would suggest that the bigger lads in the group are probably Adult XS size - 34 - 36" (or they will be by the end of the season) and the smaller ones the XXS size 32-34". The club will also be sorting out rainjackets for everyone, either passed down from one of the older groups, or purchased new.
I also have the membership forms etc for next season to hand out. I would like to get these completed if possible before the end of JUNE, so that we are ahead of the game next season.

Chris, just for the record, it is acutually a big thank you to Sam Ulyatt for staying behind with Toby while waiting for her mum to come and pick him up and also a big thanks to Suzanne Nowell for bringing home Jack Lester who was on his own as well.

Thanks all of you!! I spoke to Alan today and he confirmed that he did send a text - or at least he attempted to, however he's been having some technology problems with his mobile recently. I am hoping to have some more details regarding the rest of the friendlies by Monday and will update you then. We've got plenty of teams to play, but are currently looking for pitches that are still set up!
