I've just noticed that the fixture list says that we've got a game on Saturday 3rd January. We are supposed to still be away on that day, and so are unlikely to be able to make it! Before coming to any conclusions, I thought it best to ask around to see who else is / is not available on that date.
I spoke to the guy from the league today, particularly questionning why we were playing away at Tytherington again. Firstly, he said that we could reverse the fixture. Secondly, he said that the league would be collapsed in January and that we would have to nominate two teams (of 7-a side) to go into a cup-type competition. I think that the idea of this is to help them to seed sides for next year's 11 a-side league. I don't have any more details yet - but just to be warned!!
Unfortunately, with four of the boys still being away on 3rd Jan, I've had to cancel the game, as we have neither sufficient players or any managers. Sorry to those of you who could have made it.
